Materials/Techniques: Machine quilted with clear nylon using cotton fabrics and a cotton/poly batting.

Artist Statement: With the Civil War approaching, family member Lydia decided to follow her husband into battle as a nurse. I often wonder how life changed for this young woman and how her caregiving changed her perspective on life. Taking a cue from this Civil War cot quilt, I downsized the pattern to 2 ½” blocks to make a table runner. The next downsizing yielded 1 ¼” blocks for an AAQI miniature.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
