Materials/Techniques: I used 100% cotton fabrics, vintage hankies, buttons, ribbon, and beads in this crazy quilt. It is machine quilted and embroidered. The words are hand embroidered and the grass is machine appliquéd.

Artist Statement: I have many sweet memories of my grandmother, mother and aunts, before Alzheimer's took over their lives. I quilt in their honor and memory and hope for a future without Alzheimer's.

Dedication: Dedicated to my sweet aunt, Etsye Williams Simmons. She lived in the same town in which I grew up so I visited her often. She had a very sweet spirit.
