Materials/Techniques: Invisible machine appliqué, paper piecing, free-motion quilting.
Artist's Statement: Remembering my grandma, while making this quilt, I would sing the song, “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine” and the last line of the song is “Please don’t take my sunshine away.” Unfortunately, her sunshine faded sooner than it should have due to that dreaded disease.
