Width: 11.25" Length: 8.25"
Materials/Techniques: I drew on the PFD and then painted with acrylics and water. I like the way they run and it makes life less rigid. When I quilted the flowers I added a layer of batting and stitched a little then added a full layer of batting and free motion quilted fairly heavily. I added beads where the blooms had not opened. It is one of my favorite quilts. Hope you love it too. Feel the warmth of the sun whenever you look at it. The bees were out that day too.
Artist Statement: I sat in the garden and drew this hydrangea; I could not wait until it was fully opened. The day was better for that little time in the garden. I love to make quilts for the $1000 Promise Challenge.
Dedication: To my friends Barbara and Ele' who are caregivers and thanks to all caregivers.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $78.52 for the AAQI.
