Materials/Techniques: Partial pre-printed cotton strips, batting and invisible thread. These pieces were saved from a larger damaged piece. I used raw edge appliqu� and machine quilting.

Artist Statement: This quilt is composed of four partial strips that were originally used to frame out a large wall hanging. When I saw the bird heads I knew I couldn't throw it away, so now the heads are paired with a flower and a leaf to make a pair of whimsical herons.
