Materials/Techniques: Printed cotton fabric pieces, velvet ribbon, a denim piece that was salvaged from an old shirt, batting, cotton and invisible threads with raw edge appliqu�.

Artist Statement: I built this quilt around a vintage commercial hankie that is embroidered "To My Dear Mother.� In my fantasy world, the man in the patchwork gave these things to his mother and has kept them as a tribute to her.
