Materials/Techniques: I started with a piece of muslin and the outline of a swan . It is all cottons with fabric painted elements with raw edge appliqu�, some fused pieces, some drawn elements with fabric pens, invisible thread and silver thread.

Artist Statement: I always thought swans were beautiful and because of the ugly duckling story, I thought that they must also be magical. I started this quilt with that story in mind but it grew and developed according to what was in my scrap bag.
