Materials/Techniques: Cotton , bird print cotton fabric batting, cotton and poly thread, invisible thread and fabric paint pens used to add more color to the birds. The birds are caught in the quilted "spotlights.� The birds were outline quilted as part of their original life. I fused on the blades of grass and added the borders and binding.

Artist Statement: I rescued these birds from a larger wall hanging that had been damaged. I enhanced their coloration with fabric pens and added the grass, which inspired the spotlight quilting.
