Materials/Techniques: These are my hand dyed fabrics using machine piecing and quilting with a little hand embroidery.

Artist Statement: I have always been intrigued with my understanding of Wabi Sabi, the traditional Japanese sensibility of the transient beauty of the physical world as applied to aging of people. I see my own mother in a transition phase and hope my little leaf piece conveys this feeling of Wabi Sabi.
