Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric, backing is poly-cotton, 80/20 batting, polyester and cotton thread. I then added lace woven with ribbon, buttons, thread painting with specialty stitches. I had originally used fast finish triangles. After looking at my finished little quilt for a day, I felt it needed more stitching, so I had to use soda can pull tabs instead. I am happy with the way it came out.
Artist Statement: I have been sewing little scraps of blue fabric together from my last few quilts. Some people call this crumb piecing, others call this made fabric. I used this as my background, I wanted to make something festive. I added white ribbon/lace to contrast. After that I did a happy dance with my specialty stitches on my machine....Fiesta Time! Olay!
