JoAnn Stowell
Longview, WA USA
Width: 8.25" Length: 8"
Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: Drawn on white fabric with a brown Sharpie pen. I colored it with NeoColor II crayons and water. I love the flow of color with a lot of water. There are a lot of what I call happy mistakes. You never know where that water is going. It is free motion quilted.
Artist Statement: Every year I plant some sunflower seeds where I think they would look best and every year the birds replant them. This sunflower is actually the back of the big flower pointed to the sun and a little sunflower coming off the back of it. I take pictures with the camera my brother gave me and love the memories.
