Materials/Techniques: I used batiks and cotton fabrics. The stems and leaves are hand appliquéd then embellished with machine stitching. It is embellished with buttons, a bee and "rain" crystals, then machine quilted. The edge is satin stitched then a machine buttonhole stitch is applied over the satin stitches.

Artist Statement: Did the shower catch the bee too far from home or did he know it would only be a few drops?

This quilt has a Traditional Sleeve.
