Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fabrics and fused the appliqué to the background then machine stitched around the shapes. The lettering was done with a permanent pen. It is machine quilted using an echo technique.

Artist Statement: This quilt turned out to be fun to make as well as 'fond memories'.

Dedication: This is a 'fortune cookie' challenge issued by a Lafayette guild. My cookie read- "A distant relative will phone you soon." So I figured my mother called me from heaven!

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $55.43 for the AAQI.
