Materials/Techniques: An appliqué technique learned in Karen Stone's workshop was used to create the flower. The petals are fused and a machine buttonhole stitch is used to appliqué them down. Ribbon is used for the stem. It was bound and a metallic fringe was added to the binding.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt to support Alzheimer's research.
