Diane Spilmann Plymale
Kenner, LA USA
Width: 8.75" Length: 11.75"
Materials/Techniques: Assorted bright and white cotton scraps are pieced into uniform size strips and then sewn into four columns to complete this quilt. This makes the bright scraps appear at random as though floating on the background. A cotton batting was used and the quilt was machine stitched in the ditch along each column and around each bright scrap.
Artist Statement: I love to use every tiny scrap, mixed with tiny white scraps. I love brights!
Dedication: I made this for my dear quilting friend, Janet Mitchell, who lived in Singer LA., but is now residing in a nursing home due to Alzheimer's.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $32.33 for the AAQI.
