Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fabrics to make this quilt and hand quilted it. The border fabric is wrapped around to the back to create the binding. The boat is named for an uncle of mine.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research and to show my support for the AAQI.

Dedication: Harold Hewitt Phillips, “Uncle Hewie,” a boater who wandered away from us.

This quilt earned $35 for the AAQI.
