Materials/Techniques: I used fabric by Alexander Henry for fusible appliqué along with batiks and fabric weaving.

Artist Statement: My mother sat each day, silently, watching the family move about the house, people coming and going. Occasionally, she would stick her hand out to touch a passing great grandchild.
