Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric and thread, machine pieced and quilted.

Artist Statement: Some days are filled with the mundane things in life that have to get done. Then, there are times when something unexpected happens. This little quilt is one of those. I don't usually put red, white, and blue together when I am sewing, but this time they just came together. The design reminds me of patriotic fireworks on the Fourth of July, thus the name, Unexpected Glory.
