Materials/Techniques: The black cat with green eyes and not-so-scary jack-o-lantern hat is outlined with silver Sliver thread against a medium blue sky with five gold stars and part of a moon shining in the upper left corner. The background glitters slightly from Sliver multi-colored thread used in the stipple quilting. The black with white dots binding ties it all together.

Artist Statement: I love cats. When I saw the book, A Year of Cats…In Hats!, I purchased it. The whimsical cats are fun to make, and, I hope, also fun to look at. Happy Halloween!
