Materials/Techniques: Appliquéd and quilted by machine. I used hand painted, batiks and commercial cotton fabrics.

Artist Statement: The Rescue was inspired by a photo of my friend with a dog she rescued. It brought back memories of watching animals being rescued after hurricane Katrina.

Dedication: In this scene I feel that either could be the rescued or the rescuer. The comfort of animals never fades.
