Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton and the background fabric was painted a few years ago. I used Sharpie markers to outline a stencil design on each painted background, and then I put drops of rubbing alcohol on the fabric to diffuse the design. A friend had seen the technique on a Martha Stewart show and described it to our group. The binding and backing are also my painted fabric.

Artist Statement: I love trying new techniques! On this quilt I also used up some of my painted fabric that waits in a basket to be used "someday".
