Artist Statement: In Pietermaritzburg, South Africa there is a Butterfly Encounter where you can walk amongst beautiful butterflies that will actually land on you. It's very calming. I love the rich colors of this beautiful fabric - scraps left over from the apron my sister made for my birthday.
