Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics used, the design was fused and free motion stitched and the flowers embellished with small seed beads.
Artist Statement: At a collage play date with my art quilt group I came across the Asian print fabric that inspired this piece. The pineapple, a symbol of welcome, reminds me of an open arms welcome from family and friends.
Dedication: To Uncle Tom, Aunt Jim, Aunt Leoma and cousin Diedre - all stricken by this disease. They always welcomed me with open arms.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
