Materials/Techniques: The photo was transferred to fabric by printing using an inkjet printer. The quilt was embellished with sparkles to bring out the land, water, mountain and sky.

Artist Statement: This quilt was made from a photograph taken in Unalaska, Alaska during one cold January. While this quilt earns money for Alzheimer’s research, perhaps an Alaskan, tourist or veteran will enjoy the greatness and peace of the Aleutian Chain.

Dedication: Dedicated to the veterans of World War II who bravely fought the enemy and guarded all Americans.
