Width: 9" Length: 12"
Materials/Techniques: Hand dyed cotton and silk, cotton batting, polyester and silk thread.
Artist Statement: Topographical maps remind me of how different the paths are for different areas of the world and the people living in those areas. The quilting represents the latitude lines of geography. I used hand dyed cotton and silk to represent the contrast in everyone's path. Made for the Dallas Area Fiber Artists, 2012 "Pathways" Alzheimer’s Quilt Challenge.
Dedication: For Lucille Rogers Ashley and Curtis Rogers, my great-aunt and great-uncle who both lived with Alzheimer’s and each played a role in my love for family.
This quilt has a Traditional Sleeve.
This quilt earned $60.05 for the AAQI.
