Artist Statement: I am a retired teacher so the Sunbonnet Sue in front of the chalk board got my attention. Redwork is one of my favorite techniques, which I've used on towels, aprons, etc. I wanted to combine embroidery with quilting in my own way. Made for the Dallas Area Fiber Artists, 2012 "Pathways" Alzheimer’s Quilt Challenge
