Lander, WY USA
Width: 9" Length: 12"
Materials/Techniques: I used cotton fabric, rayon thread for the machine embroidery and decorative stitches.
Artist Statement: The May challenge was to construct a theme quilt of something invented within our lifetime. I chose to honor our Veterans by embroidering an Army Jeep which appeared for the first time in the year 1940 during WWII. General Dwight D. Eisenhower stated that the Americans could not have won the War without the all-terrain Jeep.
Dedication: I dedicate this quilt to all of our veterans and to those serving in the armed service.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $36.95 for the AAQI.
