Artist Statement: Flowers are my favorite subject to draw or paint. Sometimes I just get a chair, sit in my garden and draw. The sound of the bees working is peaceful. I feel small down in my garden. I sit there and wonder how that beautiful flower came from a seed. I have an emotional connection with the flower whether it looks like the object or not. I hope someone else can get a peaceful feeling of sitting in a garden on a warm summer day. Just for a minute, feel it.
