Width: 9.25" Length: 7.5"
Materials/Techniques: Original digital photograph, printed on fabric; free motion machine embroidery and some hand embroidery.
Artist Statement: It was a very windy day and every time the butterfly landed on the bush, the wind blew it off. This happened many times and each time the butterfly flew back with great tenacity and determination. Finally he got hold of the branch and held on for dear life. Our loved ones with Alzheimer's do the same, trying to hold on to their lives. Hopefully the researchers have the same amount of determination to find a cure.
Dedication: This little quilt is dedicated to my mother, Rutha, who is still determined to beat the disease.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $50 for the AAQI.
