Artist Statement: Why I made this quilt?
Alzheimer’s has touched our family. We lost someone very precious to us… to me. Her family name was Grandma Anne. To me, she was my mother-in-law and so very special. I hope this will help aide in the fight, so that others don’t lose their special someone to Alzheimer’s.
Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to Grandma Anne. Grandma Anne’s cooking has been known to cause some family feuds, it is so good. Let me paint a little picture. She made a lemon meringue pie and did her usual fussing over it and was not quite happy. Later on after dinner and desert was hit pretty hard, there was one piece left. Many boys were sitting at this table. Who was going to get the last piece? I miss her very much.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $210 for the AAQI.
