Materials/Techniques: Hand painted and stamped cotton fabrics, butterflies cut from printed fabric then fused and machine appliquéd. Quilted and decorated with metallic threads and fusible sequins.

Artist Statement: I texture printed the center fabric using silver and gold textile paints on black fabric then stamped butterflies in gold. The butterflies appeared to be disappearing into a whirlwind of darkness like the memories of those afflicted with Alzheimer's.
