Materials/Techniques: The majority of the quilt is cotton fabric, including the batting, with the main design being done in a sheer curtain fabric. It is hand quilted and machine zigzagged in the design area and lightly hand quilted on the back. For the water I used a little dry brushed white fabric paint. The ladies features were done with fabric markers.

Artist Statement: I had a piece of this sheer fabric that kind of "spoke" to me. I could see the ladies coming up out of a pool of water, which I dug around and found in my stash. I used a dark blue background because it reminded me of being inside or outside of a cave with a waterfall in front or behind the ladies. You decide; are you in or out of the cave?
