Width: 8.75" Length: 11.25"
Materials/Techniques: Made with cotton fabrics and batting with fused designs that were also hand stitched in place. I machine quilted around the designs.
Artist Statement: This quilt was done for the May challenge. I tried to make the writing in the Etch-a-sketch look like it was actually done with one with even a little background scribble here and there. Don't you think it has held up very well after 53 years of use?? If the hula hoops look a little warped, you have to remember that they were invented in 1958, so they have seen some time and use in the last 54 years.....So many memories of my children and I playing with them.
Dedication: To all who remember the originals and the fun they were to use.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
