Frenchtown, MT USA
Width: 8.75" Length: 11.75"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics and threads, poly/cotton batting. Machine pieced and quilted.
Artist Statement: This little quilt has London Streets blocks, half of which are mirror images of the others to make the arrows go around in opposite directions. It also has pieced sashes to get more arrows pointing in different directions and bumping into one another. I think overall that it is a pretty good example of confusion! I had drawn it in black and white but was having a hard time choosing fabrics for it until someone, in jest I think, challenged me to make a black and white quilt. This one seemed like a good candidate so here is my first ever black and white quilt. Thanks, Jean, I needed that nudge.
Dedication: To “Jayardi” who gave me the boot I needed to get a little bit out of my rut.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $60 for the AAQI.
