Materials/Techniques: I pieced the background together and added textured appliqués that I've clipped and fringed in a controlled random pattern. 100% cottons have been used in the quilt's construction. I have machine quilted the quilt and have hand stitched the binding down on the back. I have added a button for the flower center that adds nice dimension.

Artist Statement: I love mini quilts, and art quilts, not to mention texture! This seemed like the perfect opportunity to make something fun and hopefully help with a great cause. My grandma had Alzheimer's before it was diagnosed as such. Old age is what they called it.
