Artist Statement: It is my hope that this cat makes you smile and recognize all of the joy around us in everyday life. A flower bloom, a child's smile, a lick from a friendly dog---all of it enriches our lives. Caregivers particularly need to recognize the small joys in our lives--not just at Christmas but all year.

Dedication: This is dedicated to my father, Richard A. Carlson, and my mother-in-law, Carolyn Marsh Edson, who both have Alzheimer’s. We are seeking a cure for this disease with every stitch we take.
