Materials/Techniques: Materials: 100% cotton fabrics, top and batting, Hobbs 80/20 batting. I drafted the pattern on copied it onto translucent vellum paper for paper piecing.

Artist Statement: One of my older sisters is in the final stages of this disease...there seems to be nothing I can do for her, but I can make quilts to support research. The quilt name is a reference to the sadness this disease creates.
