Artist Statement: I made this little quilt using cotton batik fabrics in shades that remind me of the African culture and country ... strong, determined, and full of life!

Dedication: I made this quilt in loving memory of both my great-grandmother ("Mammaw") and my grandmother ("Granny"), both of whom developed Alzheimer’s in their later years. I treasure the memories of both of them, especially the memories of them patiently teaching me how to sew and quilt.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $32.33 for the AAQI.
