Designer: Carol Doak, 50 Little Paper-pieced Blocks, used with written permission.

Materials/Techniques: 100% cottons and cotton batiks with cotton batting, four corner square triangles for hanging any orientation with machine quilting. Quilt consists of twelve 2 1/4" blocks with double border, then binding.

Artist Statement: This a 3" block called "Star I" which I further reduced to 21/4", then chose bright fabrics and batiks to really make this star lively with colorful points shooting in all directions which is why I named it "Shooting Stars". This is the 26th quilt I've made for AAQI.
