Materials/Techniques: The fabric is cotton with polyester batting, lightly quilted on the back and quilting inside the master design in the center of the quilt. I appliquéd the foreground fabric over the main design fabric and the ruching formed the mountains in the [top and bottom] foreground of the quilt.

Artist Statement: This was done for the April challenge which is ruching...I found the background fabric in my stash and could see mountains. I found another piece of fabric that happened to have a peaceful mountain design printed on it. The mountains formed by the ruching method reminded me of the Superstition Mountains I have seen in movies.
