849 - Crazy About Pinks and Browns

Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric and thread, batting; machine pieced using “crazy quilt” techniques and machine quilted with decorative and straight stitches.
Artist's Statement: This was a fun little quilt to make with the Priority: Alzheimer’s Quilt Project in mind. It was pieced entirely from scraps left over from another quilt project. I made “new” fabric pieces approximately 7 x 10 inches and cut out four 5 ½ inch blocks.

Dedication: To honor my grandmother, Alice Prosise, who had Alzheimer’s disease many years ago. Grandma was also a quilter, so this is a fitting tribute to her.
This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
This quilt earned $40.28 for Alzheimer's research.
