Artist's Statement: I wanted to use some techniques I have learned in classes, including the little “pebble” background. There are about 30 little pebbles per square inch.

Dedication: In memory of my Grandmother, who was a very wise woman, a teacher and quilter. She raised me, and I watched her wither from Alzheimer’s.
