Variation on a traditional design – first created by Pat Morris of Cody, Wyoming. I have written permission. I varied the pattern by making a different type of star.Materials/Techniques:
Cotton; machine piecing, machine quiltingArtist's Statement:
When I saw the original of this quilt (made by Pat Morris of Wyoming), I almost cried. I think it illustrates perfectly the progression of Alzheimer’s disease – little pieces of you disappear. There is still a central core of “you”, but everything doesn’t always connect anymore.
For Mother, who sees me as a really good friend, one she can really count on. But who doesn’t always connect me to the daughter she used to have.
This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles
This quilt earned $150.00 for Alzheimer's research.
