559 - Swirling Memories

Materials/Techniques: Drunkard's Path blocks in black and white cotton and hot orange batiks were hand pieced, then the blocks sewn together by machine. Machine quilted with swirls in variegated thread.
Artist's Statement: I love the versatility of the Drunkard's Path block and this quilt gave me the opportunity to try a new setting that I haven't used before.
Dedication: In memory of my dad.
