Artist's Statement: One heart with the black beads is my Grand mom. The other three hearts are myself and my two sisters.

Dedication: For my Grand mom, who died of Alzheimer's at 92. My Grand mom loved us so much and we spent a lot of time with her. She always had time to teach us some kind of handwork and there wasn't anything she couldn’t do. I had many fewer years with her because of the disease and it hurt for her not to know me.
This quilt is displayed with a traditional sleeve.
