Length: 12"
Designer:Maggie Walker's Roseville Pottery. Used with written permission of the designer.
Materials/Techniques: Needle turn appliqué, fussy cut border.
Artist's Statement: Alzheimer's touched my life. My father-in-law lived with us the last three years of his life before we were forced to seek nursing home placement. One of my more poignant memories occurred when I went to the nursing home to feed Ed after leaving work on 9/11/2001 and although the world changed in an immeasurable way that day for the rest of us, the residents were listening to Lawrence Welk while eating dinner, in oblivion.
Dedication: For my sweet, loving father-in-law, James "Edward" Rigsbee
