Naomi S. Adams
Leander, TX USAWidth:
Cotton fabrics, Pellon Peltex interfacing and decorative threads; fused appliqué and machine quilted with satin stitched edges.Artist's Statement:
My husband's grandmothers were both interesting, dynamic women, whose lives fell apart and became disjointed and mixed up due to Alzheimer's. I chose dynamic, bold colors to represent their lives. I arranged them in a composition with a lot of disparate pieces and swirling motion to represent how things fell apart due to their disease.Dedication:
For my husband's grandmothers, both of whom became shadows of their former selves due to Alzheimer's disease.
