279 - Treasure Memories
Linda Halpin
Boscobel, WI    USA

Width: 11"   Length: 8.5"

Materials/Techniques: Cottons, batiks, silk ribbons, buttons, beads; crazy quilt embroidery, hand stitching.

Artist's Statement: Our life's story contains so many fragments, memories that link together to create the people we become. And like a page out of that story, this 8.5" x 11" piece contains beautiful fragments all joined together. While the fragile stitches that hold the memories together fracture in the life of an Alzheimer's patient, those whose lives they touched are left to carry on the memories they shared. Treasure memories.

Dedication: Dedicated to my mother-in-law, Phyllis Halpin.

This quilt is displayed with Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $155.00 for Alzheimer's research.
