Materials/Techniques: Fabric collage, free-motion quilting and embroidery with decorative and metallic threads, raw-edged applique, couched decorative cords and fibers.

Artist's Statement: Many of my inspirations come from the colors, forms, and personalities in my garden....such as the Garden Warrior. I've used organic shapes of fabric in a collage style to create this quilt.Decorative threads and fibers give it a finishing touch of garden glitz.

Dedication: My beloved father, Harold Sims, spent the last several years of his life suffering from Alzheimer's disease. In spite of this, his love for us shown threw, and I continued to learn from him each time I was with him. Not a day goes by that I don't miss his loving hugs and unselfish spirit. He will always be my hero.......

This quilt earned $60 for Alzheimer's research.
